What’s new this year at WMC?

Great question! A lot! See below:

The event runs Monday to Friday this year (typically Sunday – Thursday). Specifically:
- Robert Felix Memorial Tournament is Monday morning.
- Newcomers Lunch with the BOD is Sunday.
- This year, the beneficiary for the 2026 Winter Management Conference live auction will be the Voice for Trees Political Action Committee VFT-PAC. It will be held on Thursday evening.
The only tour option offered is the Legacy Sunset Cruise. TCIA’s Destination Management Company (DMC) will be onsite for you to book excursions directly through them.
TCIA is providing looping shuttles to the nearest town (30 minutes) on Wednesday & Thursday, from 2pm-10pm. This is included in your registration!

There is a 4-night hotel minimum required to book within our discounted room block. Hotel booking cut off is December 23rd, 2026. All registrations after this date will be on their own for hotel rooms.

Breakfast for 2 people is included with room fee; additional guests will be charged by the hotel.

What if my guest cannot attend every breakfast, lunch and reception?

The guest/child registrations cover the entirety of the conference. No one will be allowed into lunches or reception areas unless registered with their attendee badge.

How do I get to from the airport to the hotel?

Upon registering for WMC, you can also book your airport transfers. TCIA will manage these transfers with our Destination Management Company (DMC). Note: Closest international airport is Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) which is approximately 90 mins one way. It’s a one lane road through the country.

Agua Salada

A beachfront bar and restaurant, agua|salada serves both drinks and eats as Instagram-worthy as they are delicious. With a focus on crisp flavors and ultra-fresh ingredients – we’re looking at you, ají ceviche and crispy fried snapper! – and an affinity for tropical fruit cocktails and inventive desserts, this eatery easily ascends to new favorite spot for enjoying a Tamarindo sunset with your feet in the sand.

Brisa Mar Restaurant & Terrace

This showpiece restaurant is the only fine dining establishment in Tamarindo located right on the beach. Enjoy lobster, steaks, seafood and a variety of international cuisine under the shade of a huge Matapalo tree, as the sunlight and moonlight are filtered between its leaves. Watch the breaking waves or listen to the gentle breeze while partaking in lunch or dinner.

Enjoy our famous multi-station buffet breakfast or specialty dinner as you watch the Pacific Ocean reef in an unparalleled setting surrounded by beautiful gardens.

El Pelícano

An unparalleled dining experience, El Pelícano is the culinary jewel of Tamarindo featuring the best of international cuisine in the area, where we care for our diners to enjoy an incredible evening, not only for the exclusive food and service but also because of an exceptional atmosphere. A dining experience like no other, elegant ambiance with a chic outdoor terrace offering a view to the Boulevard. From the moment you sit down, you will feel like royalty, starting with the cold hand towels to cool off to the beautiful welcome drinks, followed by a fantastic lobster bisque as an appetizer, then the skirt steak and lobster tail graciously presented as the main course. El Vaquero Beach BBQ

El Vaquero is one of the favorite beach hangouts in Tamarindo. Here you can keep an eye on the waves while eating lunch or dinner; so, feast on classic BBQ, jalapeño poppers, or gourmet burgers, while you enjoy the view. In the end, you might decide if you have found your new favorite beach spot in Tamarindo while trying some cold beers from our on-site microbrewery Volcano Brewing Company. Watch some of the world’s most beautiful sunsets or sit under the stars at night while digging your toes in the sand. El Vaquero is a perfect venue for large groups, corporate retreats, beach parties, surf contests, and other private events. Let us organize everything and bring your special event to life.

Flying Bull Restaurant

Flying Bull is located on the Diria Grand Boulevard. It is a Steak House with an exquisite menu for exceptional taste. We offer a unique experience with an open kitchen that guarantees a good time. The internationally recognized American meat cuts are accompanied by fresh vegetables that come from our own local garden. We offer a variety of different salads and veggies at the salad bar. Flying Bull is our new recommendation when visiting Tamarindo

Pangas Beach Club

Located right on the beach in Tamarindo, with a direct view of the ocean, Pangas Beach Club provides a culinary sanctuary in a relaxed, tropical ambience, open every day for lunch between 12PM and 2PM, and for dinner from 5PM to 10PM. Ideal for an ice-cold beer in the midday heat, an exotic cocktail while watching the sunset, or for a romantic candle-lit dinner under starry skies, Pangas is the best spot for a bite in Tamarindo. Among some of the local favorites are the Seared Duck Breast, Grilled Shrimp Skewer and Pangas Mariscada.

The Red Door Restaurant

The Red Door restaurant is a funky-elegant, beachfront restaurant located in the Laguna del Cocodrilo Hotel, near the Tamarindo Estuary and the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant offers great local meals, fresh-catch seafood, premium quality meats, vegan dishes and local products. It is a place to have fun, listen good music, and let loose. The restaurant is open year-round, it is an excellent option for dine around and a buy-out is required to host private parties. During the green season from May thru November, a tent rental is mandatory for groups larger than 50 guests.
