Although the official unit of currency for Mexico is the peso, the U.S. Dollar is widely accepted in most larger businesses. Those who choose to pay in U.S. dollars, however, should be aware that coins are not accepted, and change will be given in pesos at the rate the business has established (normally on a sign, if not, ask).

Some of the events at WMC call for resort casual wear. Daytime resort attire can consist of polo shirts and shorts while evening resort attire would require nice slacks as well as polo or button-down shirts, skirts, dresses, or sundresses. We recommend bringing a light wrap or sweater for the evenings as the temperature can dip slightly. Mexico uses the same power plug as North America. So, you will not need a travel adapter if you are from Canada or the USA.
