Introducing “Tiny Forests, USVI”

What is “Tiny Forest”?

This project aims to increase environmental literacy, food, security, and access to green spaces by creating small urban forests in schools throughout the US Virgin Islands. These “Tiny Forests” are created and maintained by students from participating schools using the Miyawaki Method.

By Learning about Forests, Students Discover ways to

  • Make Environmentally Sustainable Decisions
  • Support Community Health & Beautification
  • Advocate For Climate Smart Policies
  • Support Wildlife, And Connect With Nature

Supporting the Community

For nearly ten years, TCIA has been running our annual “Give Back” campaign at Winter Management Conference in February. In case you’re unfamiliar, TCIA partners with a local school and encourages WMC attendees to bring much-needed donations of school supplies.
